About dentures
Dentures

For those who are concerned about the appearance of visible metal clasps, we offer non-clasp dentures. However, depending on the condition of your mouth, they may not be recommended. Please feel free to contact our clinic for more information.
Types of dentures
Dentures can be broadly categorized into complete dentures and partial dentures.
Complete dentures
These dentures are used when you have lost all your teeth. They are large dentures that cover the back of your jaw as well. All your teeth are replaced with artificial teeth.
Partial dentures
These dentures are used only to replace missing teeth. If you still have one tooth remaining, you will have a partial denture. The dentures are fixed in place using the remaining healthy teeth.
Denture material
Non-clasp dentures
Unlike conventional dentures, these dentures do not have metal springs and are made of a translucent material, so they are hard to notice and do not look like you are wearing them. They are not hard, so they are comfortable to wear. In addition, since they do not contain metal, they can be used safely by people with metal allergies. These dentures are paid for by the patient (outside of insurance).
metal dentures
These are dentures where the part that touches the gums is made of metal. By using metal, the dentures can be made thinner, so they are easier to talk with and transmit the temperature of food more easily than dentures covered by insurance, allowing you to eat more delicious meals. Because they are made of metal, they are highly durable and have little effect on remaining teeth. These are dentures that are paid for by a private insurance company (not covered by insurance).
Resin dentures
These dentures are covered by insurance and the part that touches the gums is made of resin (special plastic). Because they are thick to maintain their strength, they have poor thermal conductivity for hot and cold food, and they have to be made larger, which can be uncomfortable and make it difficult to speak. However, because they are covered by insurance, they can be made cheaply and can be used in most cases.
